apparently…
the men who kill out of passion.
it’s been that way for hundreds of years but that doesn’t make it right. women are still seen as property, to be owned and controlled or killed if we don’t obey and do as we’re told.
a man can use “she provoked me.” or “she said she might leave me.” as defence against murder and that’s taken as mitigating circumstances and he gets his sentence/conviction reduced to a lesser charge of manslaughter and he can be out of prison in under 3 yrs.
[Harriet] Harman agrees that the problem is profound. “It’s about whether or not male ownership of a woman’s sexuality entitles him to take violent action. It’s very primeval.”
surely we’ve evolved beyond that now? males do not own females, men do not own women. we are not power tools or cars, or any other inanimate object you can purchase at whim.
oh, hang on, yes we are aren’t we? or at least parts of us are, the parts you (men) want to stick parts of yourselves into, any orifice will do as long as you’re satisfied. while women are still bought and sold like this, while men still own our sexuality and our bodies then we are victims and the killing won’t stop.
